As a member of the Financial Systems support team, act as liaison between General Accounting and Computing Services staff and software vendors regarding the General Ledger applications in GEAC GL:M and Lawson. Participate in new system implementation and upgrades. Perform other special projects and tasks as directed by Project Manager.

GEAC GL:Millennium General Ledger Application Support

• Monitor and resolve on-going production problems. Perform business analysis for new programming requests.
• Write and modify reports and queries from the General Ledger system using GEAC report software.
• Coordinate all testing of enhancements and modifications.
• Participate in the testing and installation of system upgrades and program fixes.
• Communicate and work with software vendor support staff to resolve software problems.
• Support interfaces from Campus, Lawson, Payroll. Help assure that interface transactions are properly posted to the General Ledger system.
• Develop/document procedures and provide user training as needed.

Lawson General Ledger Application Support

• Provide primary functional support for the Lawson General Ledger application.
• Monitor and resolve on-going production problems. Perform business analysis for new programming requests.
• Write and modify reports and queries from the General Ledger system using Lawson programs, Reportsmith or Crystal Reports.
• Help assure end users are able to reconcile the Lawson Financials to the GEAC GL:M system.
• IDevelop/prepare procedural documentation and provide user training as needed.

Contract Management Database/Application Support

• Troubleshoot problems with Patient Accounting-Contract Management interface
• Build new contracts on the database and assist Financial Systems Analyst in resolving processing issues.
• Perform testing of application and interface for all HealthQuest Patient Accounting system upgrades as well as Pathways Contract Management upgrades.
• Attend semi-monthly Patient Business Services issues meeting.
• Prepare on-request reports of data on the Contract Management database--including Patient Business Services, Managed Care Contracting, Medical Coding, Product Accounting and Financial Analysis.
• Provide backup support for Financial Systems Analyst.

• Bachelor of Science degree in business or computer science or a minimum of five years\\\\\\\' experience working with Lawson or similar ERP sofrware system is required.
• Strong systems implementation project management experience
• Experience using report writer software for packaged application systems. GEAC (McCormack & Dodge, Dun & Bradstreet) experience preferred.
• Experience working with both mainframe and PC applications.
• Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal supervision.
• Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete ongoing tasks in a timely and accurate manner, reflecting relative importance of the tasks.
• Working knowledge of PC software, such as word-processing, database, spreadsheet and Windows environment.
• Working knowledge of accounting practices and terminology in a hospital/university environment.
• Knowledge of terminology used in the computer industry.
• Skill in writing, using correct spelling, punctuation and grammar, procedure manuals and routine business correspondence.
• Skill in interacting diplomatically with all levels of users--from staff to management--to ascertain and meet computer needs.
• Strong customer service orientation required in dealing with all users of systems.
